Nomination Process
Nomination for the 2022 Progressive Youth Award is open to the public and will be submitted to www.youngprogressives.ng/pylawards no later than the 19th of November 2022.
Nominating a young progressive or leader in any of the outlined categories open to public nominations will require the submission of their names and a maximum of 500-word note highlighting the most compelling reasons they are deserving of the award. This can include evidence of efforts and initiatives in the way of photos and videos, alongside other relevant recommendations and acknowledgements.
The nomination process will run from the 1st to the 15th of November 2022.
REVIEW AND SELECTION PROCESS
The Office of the National Youth Leader will form the Progressive Youth Award Nomination Review and Selection Committee to oversee and manage the review of all submitted nominations and the selection of the final list of deserving candidate in all the categories. This is the penultimate phase before the conduct of a public vote to determine winners in all the categories. As such, the Committee must select at least two candidates in each of the categories for the voting public to make a choice from.
The review and selection process will be conducted transparently with the following criterions:
· That candidates are duly registered members of the All Progressives Congress.
· That candidates in the youth-award categories are not above the age of 40 on or before the award ceremony.
· That candidates have identifiable and credible track record of excellence relevant to the category they have been nominated for.
· That the candidates’ list satisfy the important principles of gender equity, national balance, and inclusion.
